Concert with the Hessisches Staatstheater Orchester

Ms. Wilson returns to Wiesbaden for the New Year to conduct the Hessisches Staatstheater Orchester in a program of Kaija Saariaho’s Du Cristal, Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor, featuring pianist Mūza Rubackytė, and Sibelius’s Symphony no.2 in D major

Commenting on the program, Ms. Wilson said, "For me, this will be a concert full of nostalgia. As a teenage musician I played the bravura opening passage of Grieg's Piano Concerto over and over again and listened to Sibelius's Symphony No. 2 on snowy hikes through the Canadian Rockies. Together with Saariaho's moving Du Cristal, it is a romantic program that should warm up the Wiesbaden audiences in winter!”

The concert takes place at the Kurhaus on January 11th. Tickets and more information can be found here.
