Maestro Wilson Opens Kyiv Camerata’s 2026/27 Season in Kyiv

On September 21 at 6:00 PM, Maestro Keri-Lynn Wilson returns to the National Philharmonic of Ukraine in Kyiv to conduct the opening concert of the Kyiv Camerata’s season. The concert, entitled Voices: An Evening of Premieres, includes two world premieres and three Kyiv premieres. This concert marks the continuation of Maestro Wilson’s tenure as music director of the ensemble and her continued support of Ukraine in its fight for its liberty.

The evening opens with acclaimed American composer Nico Muhly’s virtuosic Shrink for violin and orchestra, featuring Ukraine’s celebrated violinist Bohdana Pivnenko, followed by Hanna Havrylet’s heavenly Stabat Mater for choir and orchestra, performed with the Kyiv Choir.

The second half features the world premiere of Victoria Poleva’s In Memory of Oleh Pavliuchenkov, a poignant tribute to the Ukrainian filmmaker, photographer, and cultural figure who passed away in May. Volodymyr Zubytsky’s Colomyika la vita for bandura and orchestra, performed by Iryna Lytvynenko, follows before the evening culminates with world premiere of Zoltan Almashi’s Chamber Symphony arrousing We Will Win.
