Carmen at the Bolshoi Theatre

Maestro Wilson returns to the Bolshoi Theatre this month to conduct Carmen, with performances scheduled on November 12, 13 and 14. In spite of Moscow’s current lockdown, its theaters remain open, and rehearsals for the performances are taking place this week. The casts include Agunda Kulaeva in the title role, Oleg Dolgov as Don Jose, and Alexey Markov and Elchin Azizov as Escamillo. Maestro Wilson was last at the Bolshoi to conduct La Traviata in May. Carmen is the eighth different title that she will have conducted there.
